Ask Summer

I get a lot of questions about how I run a ranch and a family. If you have a question, just ask me in the comment section. Anything from what we feed our cows, to what I feed the kids. You ask it, I answer. Kinda like Ann Landers.... Go on, ask me something! PS I'm pretty opinionated and as long as you're asking you will get my true feelings. But let me warn you, ask me about politics and we could be here all night.

  1. With Daniel being gone most of the time, how do you keep the "spark" going?

    1. There is always a lot of "spark" between us. Probably not the kind you are thinking of though! I get used to doing things on the ranch the way I want, and when he gets home he is ready to run the ranch. Often times I just step aside and do things his way. But sometimes sparks fly when I insist we do things MY way! Hee, hee, But that's probably not what you are wondering... my answer to "sparks" in our relationship is this: Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

  2. Summer, I am so happy for you that you are living your dream!Way to go girl! The ranch life isn't for me but there is definately something beautiful about it that I admire! Have you ever heard of the Pioneer Woman on the cooking channel? You remind me of her, she blogs and cooks for the family, but you do more than her even! Where is your ranch?

    1. Thank you Cherish. The Pioneer Woman is my inspiration! I love her blog and I've seen a few of her cooking shows. We are in Nebraska. I never thought I could leave my beloved mountains, but I absolutely LOVE the wide open space! I hope to inspire others to work hard and reach for their dreams, no matter how far fetched they may seem, they can be achieved! Thanks for reading!
